With a bit of visual boost provided by talented graphic designer Julie Cornia, we’ve added some alternative color schemes to PasswordRN for the Android.  No, it’s not really a huge functional improvement but let’s face it, Android apps can look a bit dull.  And while we maintain an intentionally stripped-down feature set in order to be simple and fast to use, we don’t think we really have to look dull to be serious.  So, please, give the new colors a try and, if you like them, please let us know!

Yep, it’s true, you can just write them all down somewhere (the notebook in your pocket, the back of your badge, a slip of paper in your wallet) and, frankly, that’s what a lot of folks do, no matter how many times IT says it’s a terrible idea.  If you need the info to care for your patients and you just can’t keep it all straight in your head, what else are you supposed to do?

Having to think up and remember lots of passwords is an unhandy fact of modern life.

Some people go for the simple solution and use the same password everywhere, or try to.  But different systems have different password requirements, and some systems demand you change your password regularly and not re-use an old one, so the one-and-only-password technique generally doesn’t go very far.
